Beiriger Elementary School

Welcome to Mrs. Lichtenfeld's
Third Grade Class!

Here's a little about myself! I graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. Along with that, I have a High Ability License from Ball State University. I am also Phonics and Word Work Proficient.  I spend most of my down time listening to country music,  exercising by doing ZUMBA, and playing with my chocolate lab puppy, Sadie! This is my fifth year teaching. I taught in third grade for four years and first grade for one year.

It is extremely important to me to have an open line of communication between school and home. Please feel free to contact me if you ever need to discuss anything about your child. One of the most important aspects of 3rd grade is the state standardized testing. Please see my link regarding the IREAD3 and ISTEP, more information will be given out closer to testing time. Along with that, I will be sending home weekly newsletters to give you an idea of what we will be covering this year, along with other important information throughout the year. I will also be updating the website with current weekly information if you ever need it. However, if you have any questions or concerns in between, please feel free to email, call the school, or set up an appointment to meet. Together I know we can make this a wonderful year for your child!
